Below you will find links to suggested teaching, learning and assessment activities that will help you to implement your program and ensure it is aligned to the Victorian Curriculum. The activities are mapped to the learning area of Health and Physical Education and the cross-curricular Capabilities. Other learning areas that have content descriptions relevant to RSE include Science, Humanities and English.   • Friendship role plays – create some friendship scenarios for students to act out and discuss the thoughts and feelings involved
  • Discuss how it might feel to be included in activities
  • Respond to stories about characters who have been excluded from a group and discuss how the characters could deal with the situation
  • Identify and describe the emotions of people who are happy, sad, excited, tired, angry, scared or confused.
  • Discuss situations when someone might feel happy, sad, excited, tired, angry, scared or confused at home and at school
  • Explore what it means to be kind, fair and respectful to others. Discuss how the health and wellbeing of the class can be improved when everyone is kind, fair and respectful to each other.

Family Planning Victoria has launched the Relationships and Sexuality Education for Students with Disability resource.

This resource provides educators working with students with intellectual disability a comprehensive, age and developmentally appropriate set of relationships and sexuality education resources.

The resource comprises of 9 modules including:
